Trinity Polk
Trinity Polk is a multimedia storyteller passionate about using journalism, strategic communication, and digital content to inform, connect, and inspire. She has built a portfolio that spans broadcast, print, and digital platforms.
On campus, she reports and produces for WHOV-TV, co-hosts The Blackfluence Podcast, and previously served as editor-in-chief of The Hampton Script. Beyond campus, she has gained professional experience with FOX 26 Houston as an Emma Bowen Fellow, the Knight Science Journalism Fellowship program at MIT, Her Campus, Washington Media Scholars Foundation, and the Hampton Convention & Visitor Bureau.
Her work spans newsroom reporting, national features, investigative projects, and digital campaigns. She has also earned national recognition, placing second in Ally and Thurgood Marshall College Fund's Moguls in the Making pitch competition, third in L'Oreal's HBCU Hackathon, and as a finalist in the WMSF's Media Case Competition.
With every role, Polk has told stories from multiple angles: on camera, behind the scenes, and across digital platforms. She's passionate about telling stories that amplify voices, raise awareness, and spark meaningful change. After graduation, her goal is to become a local news reporter and ultimately grow into a correspondent role.
